Our club is involved in a variety of projects that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide.
Young Children Priority One
Young Children Priority One (YCPO) is an ongoing community service program of Kiwanis International that addresses the needs of children, through the age of 5. All clubs are encouraged to carry out at least two YCPO projects per calendar year, though many clubs are able to do more, serving children, families, and communities. YCPO focuses on four key areas: maternal and child health, child care and development, parent education and support, and safety and pediatric trauma.
Community Service
The Kiwanis Club of Middletown participates in numerous community service PROJECTS in and around Middletown, New York as well as supports many local charitable organizations through its various fundraisers throughout the year. We also contribute to Kiwanis sponsored organizations such as the Kiwanis Children’s Foundation, New York District Kiwanis Foundation, and Kamp Kiwanis.
FUNDRAISING is the backbone of any charitable organization and the Kiwanis Club of Middletown has been perfecting this craft for more than 100 years. Classic fundraisers such as poinsettia sales, golf tournament and Pancake Day continue their annual traditions and are joined by new favorites such as the tricky tray and Flag for Heroes. The Kiwanis Club of Middletown continues to work hard raising the funds to help make a difference in our community.
