The follow are the fundraising events that the Middletown Kiwanis Club currently has planned for the year.

Poinsettias

The Kiwanis Club of Middletown sells poinsettia plants every year for the Holidays.  These beautiful red, white, and pink flowers are delivered early December and are the perfect way to start ringing in the holiday season.  Every November we collect the orders for poinsettias, if you would like to place an order for poinsettias, you can find an order form HERE.

Pancake Day

As mentioned earlier, our Kiwanis Club held the first ever pancake day in the City of Middletown.  This annual event, held every March at the Middletown High School, features homemade pancakes, eggs and sausage and is a great way to get out and socialize during the cold winter months.  Besides the delicious breakfast, you will have the opportunity to purchase homemade backed goods, or you could try your luck with one of our homemade gift basket raffles.  This event always requires a lot of work, thankfully we are joined by our MHS Key Club student volunteers so pull off the best breakfast in town.  If you would like to buy some tickets to our next pancake day or perhaps sponsor a placemat ad, please CONTACT US.

Tricky Tray

Our tricky tray event is rather new and generally held every other year in April but that hasn’t stopped the people talking about it.  Held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, people tell tales of wonderful baskets for as far as the eye can see.  Whether or not these stories are true remains to be seen.  If you would like to check our Tricky Tray event for yourself, please CONTACT US and we would be glad to let you know what we have planned.

Golf Tournament

Our annual golf tournament is held the first Monday in June at the Wallkill Golf Club.  The club sells golf four sums, raffle tickets and tee signs to raise money.  A great time is always had by all that attend.  Let just hope for sunshine.  If you’d care to join us in a great round of golf or help sponsor the event, an application can be found HERE.

Chicken Barbeque

While not a regular event, the Middletown Kiwanis Club’s chicken barbeque event always draws a crowd.  If you would like to know when our next barbeque is taking place, please CONTACT US.

Flags For Heroes

The Kiwanis Club’s newest fundraiser is also one of its favorites.  Starting in 2022, and partnering with local bank Orange Bank & Trust Company, the Flags for Heroes fundraiser is a crowd pleaser with the field of flags always looking beautiful whether the wind is blowing or not.  This event lets the community recognize the heroes in their lives, past and present.  Hero’s names are inscribed onto medallions and hung on the flag for the sponsors to collect.  This event historically takes place at the end of August with sales of flags occurring in the summer months.  Applications for the current Flags for Heroes event can be found HERE.
